Beverly Lane Concrete Sidewalk Replacement - Quincy

Remove all existing concrete and curbing and replace, in area's as designated by HAGC approximately 3,500 square feet, with a broom finish. • Rebar shall be installed with new concrete on a 2'x2' grid pattern • Concrete mix will be 6 sack or 4000 psi with over 5% air-entrainment • Make sure the Weather Temperature is adequate in order to pour concrete. Contractor will be responsible for any chipping, flaking or spalling caused by inadequate weather. • The possibility of not enough or any compacted gravel will need to be addressed (i.e. more gravel brought in and compacted) • New concrete shall be poured with a thickened edge for curbing. • Sidewalk shall not have any slope greater than 2% in any direction • Make sure all transitions from existing concrete to new concrete are smooth with no tripping hazards. • Transition to existing concrete must have expansion joints installed • In areas that have erosion under the concrete, will need extra concrete as back fill. Any other fill material will wash out. • Remove enough sod and soil in grass areas to install proper material for compaction. ( 4" compacted grave base) • Repair any sprinkler lines that are broken during excavation work. • Fill in areas where concrete height is over 2 inches from ground level with top soil (compacted) • Approximately 115' of curbing needs to be removed and replaced in several areas throughout the project and will be identified at bid walk • Approximately 65' of curbing and removal of soil and shrubs at the north end of the parking lot in front of building E will need to be removed and leveled off.
