RFQ - GCCM for Construction of New Seasonal Farmworker Housing - Granger
The construction of the new seasonal farmworker housing will be the second phase of an existing seasonal farmworker development, located at 250 Cherry Hill Road, Granger, Washington. The site is currently undergoing a lot line adjustment to become 1.48 acres. This phase will be the second of three total phases. The proposed phase two is funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce, Housing Trust Fund (WA HTF) and private debt. The selected contractor will need to comply with WA HTF, Evergreen Sustainable Design Standards (ESDS). The newly constructed units will house low-income seasonal farmworkers and will need to comply with Washington State Department of Health Temporary Worker Construction Standards. The proposed site will consist of three buildings, and four units. Two of the units will consist of eight (8) two-person rooms and two of the units will consist of six (6) four-person rooms. The third building will consist of office, laundry and common space. The lot line adjustment creating the new 1.48-acre parcel is not yet complete, however, the parent parcel is 21102223423 and is zoned properly as C-1, suitable for seasonal farmworker housing.
