RFQ - 2019-2024 Wastewater Collection System Improvements - Lewiston
The City of Lewiston Wastewater System is comprised of the Lewiston Wastewater Collection System (WWCS) and the Lewiston Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The WWCS encompasses about 135 miles of wastewater pipes on both sides of the Clearwater River. This system collects and conveys wastewater from City customers as well as Lewiston Orchards Sewer District (LOSD), Central Orchards Sewer District (COSD), and the Nez Perce Tribe (NPT). The WWTP is located on the north side of the Clearwater River, slightly upstream from the Clearwater River confluence with the Snake River. The City of Lewiston owns and operates the WWTP, which treats all domestic, commercial, and industrial wastewater received by the various districts. The WWTP had an average daily flow of 3.6 million gallons in recent years. Proportions of flow from the various districts are 66% City of Lewiston (includes NPT flow), 12% COSD, and 22% LOSD.
